We're Married!

We're finally married! We've been married for 2 1/2 weeks now, and it has been great so far.

The wedding day went SO smoothly, and it was an enjoyable day. Our honeymoon in Vegas was also great. I forgot my camera, but I guess I'd be afraid to take any pictures anyway because you would most likely get a billboard of a scanty woman in the background. Our favorite thing was the water show at the Bellagio. We also liked going to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (where we stayed) and eating at the Rainforest Cafe at the MGM Grand. We took advantage of the Wendy's on the strip (Frosties. =]), and our room to take a nap almost every day. We saw Lance Burton, a magician, but we were somewhat disappointed with his show. He should probably retire soon. =]

We've gotten ALMOST all the way settled in our apartment in Provo. We like it here. We're right by the stadium. malt shoppe, doctor's office, bowling alley, and Brittany. =] We drive to Orem for church. When we went on sunday, we were one of about 15 new couples in the ward. Most of the people live in our same complex, or one nearby. We had to stand up and introduce ourselves 3 different times (neither of us like THAT), and get our picture taken. Yuck.

We started school on the 26th. I go to school Mondays and Wednesdays, and am taking Introduction to nursing, College Algebra, and Nutrition. Chris goes to school Monday through Thursday, and is taking Drawing, Photoshop, and Algebra.

I'm still working at Hot Dog on a Stick. I'm an assistant manager, and I still enjoy it as much as I did a year ago. =] I get great hours, and my coworkers are all fantastic. I'm getting a grant to pay for school, and we're also getting foodstamps to pay for groceries. Yippee!

I'm learning to cook by experimentation and also from Chris. =] We had a very successful meal the other night when we had to subsitute beef bullion and soy sauce for au jus (because it has wheat in it), and it tasted great! Our cookies turned out great as well, and hopefully the bread goes well this weekend! I'm considering documenting my successes in a blog as well. We'll see!
